Ansible Role: Bazarr

Install and configure Bazarr - a companion application to Sonarr and Radarr for subtitle management. The role runs Bazarr as a Docker container with host networking and mounts the shared media volume over NFS. Unused Docker resources are pruned afterwards.

Requirements

A Debian host with Docker (installed by the docker role). The bazarr user and the blackbeard group must exist, they are created by the blackbeard role.

Dependencies

The playbook runs these roles first (see roles/requirements.yml):

• traefik

Variables

The role has no defaults/main.yaml. It uses the following variables, which must be defined elsewhere.

The image tag (1.6.2), the NFS server address and the paths are hardcoded in tasks/bazarr.yaml.

Usage

Run the role through Semaphore using playbook.yaml. The playbook first runs ansible-galaxy install -f -r roles/requirements.yml to refresh the role dependencies, then runs the docker, traefik and bazarr roles.

The cleanup tasks run docker_prune and docker system prune --all --force --volumes after every run. This removes all unused images, networks and volumes on the host, including those of other containers.
